Star Cuts That Work for You!!

To start with one of my favourite

BANGS

Camilla Belle

On hair that's thick and straight, this cut has a cool '60s vibe. (It makes all other textures fall flat and look stringy.) "Tell your stylist you'd like your bangs to start very far back on your head and end just below the eyebrows," says Garren. "They should also be very blunt, very thick, and perfectly straight, with no layers—and the rest of your hair should be, too."

Penélope Cruz

"Thick, softly layered bangs worn on the side" are ideal for slightly wavy hair, says Hershberger. Be sure to keep all other layers long, or the style will look too shaggy.

THE BOB

Paris Hilton

To copy this sophisticated bob, request a cut that's just above your shoulders in the front and two inches shorter in back. "The left side is longer than the right," says Hershberger. "There are long layers all the way around and throughout her bangs."

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez' rolled-under bob has a fresh look with pushed-over bangs and a deep-side part.

LONG AND LAYERED

Rachel Bilson

"It's almost universally flattering," says hairstylist Garren of the Garren New York salon of Bilson's haircut. "Tell your stylist to give you long bangs and layers starting at your chin to almost your chest, and cut the ends in the back in a U-shape." Besides suiting all face shapes, this cut also works on both straight and wavy hair textures.

Eva Mendes

"This style is a good example of how to cut very thick hair as simply as possible," says Hershberger. "Ask your stylist to make it the same length all around, and then have her add very subtle layers to the ends to keep it from looking stiff and heavy."

GAMINE

Elisha Cuthbert

To get this English schoolboy style, "ask for an ear-length bowl cut—yes, a bowl cut—that tapers to the neck and has sideswept, brow-skimming bangs," says hairstylist David Babaii. "The top should be softly layered, and the sides should hug the face."

SHOULDER LENGTH

Hilary Swank

This cut proves that opposites attract. "The soft, textured feel perfectly balances strong features like Hilary's," says hairstylist Garren of the Garren New York salon. "Ask for a choppy, textured cut that's about ten inches long with layers that start at ear length and go all the way around the head—that means no bangs, and no face-framing pieces." One warning: "This cut will make fine hair look scraggly, so if that's what you have, stick with something more blunt," he says.

Tips to have Long Hairs!!

Long, beautiful and shiny hair is every girl’s dreams! Even mine too..
so here are the few tips on how to grow healthy, shiny long hair!

1. Preparation!
The first step in growing long, healthy hair is to cut off any damaged bits, no matter how much you have. You must cut off every inch that is considerably damaged. If you are going for extreme length, from that point on you will have to treat your hair like delicate, antique lace at all times.

2. Give yourself a head rush.
Kick your hair follicles (and hair growth) into high gear by increasing circulation to your head. How? "There are three easy ways," says Riquette Holstein, author of Grow Hair Fast. One, get more exercise so your heart is pumping (yet another reason to get up off the couch). Two, flip your head upside-down once a day, brushing your hair from roots to ends (use a natural boar bristle brush to prevent breakage). Three, massage your scalp daily, using your fingertips. "You can do this while you are shampooing or just sitting around watching TV," says Riquette. "It feels really good!"

3. Book regular trims
This will prevent damage from stopping your hair from growing. Go as often as you need to! My hair grows fast, so I go at least a month, but see what works for you. Most hairdressers recommend a trim every six to eight weeks. If you notice your hair growth slowing down, there is probably damaged hair stopping it.

4. Avoid heat!
Try your hardest to avoid using your hair dryer, curlers, straightners… even if you use protective spray, the heat dries out and damages hair, which significantly slows down growth, and eventually stops it completely. If you have to use something, make sure you use a lot of a high quality protection product!

5.Stress less.
Studies show that hair actually grows slower when you are stressed to the max. Your hair also needs a good night's sleep. So chill out, and get some shut-eye already.

6. Stop Using Chemicals!
For similar reasons to above, resist having hair permed or using permanent dyes, as these are very harsh on the hair. If you have to use a colour, try to use non peroxide, natural colour. Healthy hair will look gorgeous anyway, though, and you don’t want to get roots!

7. Accessorize Carefully!
Get rid of any accessories which might be damaging your hair. These could be rubber bands, or any hair tie that uses metal, as this allows the hair to get caught. Check that all barrettes and clips work correctly, and won’t be ripping out your hair!

8. Healthy Diet!
If you are depriving your body of nutrition, your hair will be one of the first places to suffer. Ensure you are getting enough vitamins and minerals, and that you’ve got at least some fat in your diet.

9. Be gentle to your Hairs
The longer your hair is, the older it is. So treat it with the respect it deserves. Never brush wet hair.Brushes and Combs of various types have completely different uses and can be employed in an array of situation to suit your hair's grooming needs. To say which causes the hair most damage is difficult given that each tool performs differently under pressure. My best adivce would be to experiment and find out what workd for you.

10. Rinse in cold water!
I hate this one, but it really does work! Make your last rinse cold, and it will seal the hair follicles and give you shiny, healthy and bouncy hair. It’s amazing!

11. Deep Condition!
Use a deep conditioner once a month, after leaving hair unwashed for slightly longer than usual. This allows the natural oils to work their magic, and the conditioner will enrich hair and make it glean.

12. Let your hair get dirty once in a while.
That's right... permission to be lazy, what more could you ask for? Don't shampoo, spend the entire weekend in bed drinking Moet, eating yunmy chocolate bonbons (go ahead, chocolate contains sulphur which helps build strong hair!) and watching out your favourite movie, all while those wonderful natural conditioning oils work their magic. Don't forget the boar bristle brush before shampooing to distribute those oils .

Hottest Trends of the Decade!!

Let's take a look back at the trends we loved, hated and can't get enough of...
So, as we begin a new journey into another decade, here’s looking back at ‘the’ fashion and beauty trends worthy enough to be tagged as the ‘storm-churners’ of the decade..

Lets start with one of my personal favourite;

Kurties:
A little longer than a top and a little shorter than a regular kameez , the hip-length kurties , came as a saviour for the fuller-bodied Indian women. Traditional yet chic, they were a perfect attire to hide the big backside that Indian women are usually blessed with but at the same time, were good enough for lean lasses. No wonder, the stylish kurti received a warm welcome only to find a place in every woman’s wardrobe in past few years.

Bangles:
Stack 'em and stack 'em high was the wrist rule of the beginning of the 21st century. Bangle sets were plentiful from plastic to gold .Accessory fiends rocked 'em (and are still rocking 'em, as a matter of fact) with both casual and dressy ensembles.

UGGs:
They show no signs of stopping production. In fact, they've produced new varities of the comfortable boot. Although there's nothing sexy about them (despite updated designs and styles), women stand behind their UGGs, professing their love for the sheepskin fleece that keep their toes so nice and warm.

Labels:
Recession aside, we were all over labels this decade. If you didn't have a fancy-schmancy handbag, some of us couldn't help but feel like we were missing out. As a result, sites like BagBorroworSteal.com made it affordable for fashion mavens to carry high-priced arm candy.

Leggings:
Trends—good and bad, depending on who you ask—always make a comeback. Many have a love-hate relationship with good ol' leggings but some can't deny their comfortable properties. People love 'em so much, companies have even started to manufacture theleggings-and-jeans hybrid, known as "jeggings."

Skinny Jeans:
Speaking of "jeggings," if you weren't quite that daring, you just stuck to skinny jeans . They were alive and well in the '80s in the acid-washed and stretchy form. But come 2003, they were given a chic makeover for fashionistas. From True Religions to Old Navy, they were available at various price points, which helped make them a wardrobe staple.

Ballet Flats:
It's the trend that fashionistas are most thankful for in the beginning of the 21st century. Step aside sky-high heels, we've been given the break of comfort with the lovely ballet flat. Once upon a time, sneakers were the only comfy footwear available, but thanks to Tory Burch and Cole Haan, fabulous flats have been made available to us that go with our ever-so-chic wardrobes.

Smokey Eyes:
They're not easy to achieve, but those envious of Kim Kardashian and the Olsen twins have learned the art of applying the smokey eye—it's a multiple-step process that requires several different colors of eye shadow, in fact. Thanks to Twilight and the new trend of "paleness," we might finally see what some beauty mavens look like with very little makeup in 2010.

Vests:
Vests came and went in the early '90s (grunge didn't call for 'em), but have reappeared this decade stronger than ever. From menswear-inspired to boyfriend knits, even furry ones have resurfaced, the sleeveless outerwear has become a wardrobe must.

Boho Chic:
I don't know who's responsible for the boho-chic blitz of the new millennium. Was it the doing of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe? Or, was Nicole Richie behind it? Regardless, fashionistas and non-fashionistas alike have gotten be
hind hippie-esque garbs in the form of skirts, head scarves and maxi dresses.

Cinched Waists:
The start of the 21st century marked a lot of waist-cinching with thick black belts. From dresses to sweaters, this decade, we belted practically everything. And rightfully so, as many tunics and dresses were of the "balloon-y" persuasion that neglected to flatter figures.

Oversized Shades:
How can we forget that; We might not be movie stars, but we certainly acted like 'em this decade with oversized shades . As if the paparazzi would be snapping photos of us around town, like we’re Paris Hilton or Jennifer Lopez? As it turns out, stunna-shade fans just love the way they look.

Revival of the sensuous sari:
The sari that had almost lost its charm in the last decade was revived as the most sensual avatar, thanks to the leading ladies of the film industry who made it a staple costume at every red carpet event.

Reds and pinks:
These two colours gained quite a lot of followers in the last few years. While all shades of pink, from baby pink to fuchsia, became the corporate blue for men, red was a woman’s way to be sexy and hot. From long nails painted red, to red coloured streaks to that enchanting pout in the hue of rouge, red was every party hoppers way to sensuality.

Get a Messy Bun!!

Double headbands turn a loose bun into a chic style!
Perfect for bad hair days, lazy days, and pretty much any day you want! They look great during the day, at night, at work, school, whatever you want! Here’s how to pull off a messy bun.

Just follow these easy steps to create a cute look to wear to school or a party!

Step 1:
Apply a dollop of straightening gel to towel-dried hair. Use your fingers to distribute the product evenly from roots to ends.

Step 2:
Blow-dry four-inch sections of hair (using medium heat), holding the dryer three inches from your head, and use a paddle brush to straighten and smooth each section.

Step 3:
Pull your hair into a loose ponytail and secure it with an elastic at your crown. Twist and wrap your hair into a messy bun, then loop the ends through the elastic.

Step 4:
Run your fingers through the front of your hair to loosen it from the elastic, and add texture. Slide in a thin black headband two inches from your hairline.

Step 5:
Slide a second thin black headband three inches behind the first one. Mist your entire head with nonaerosol hairspray from eight inches away to secure your style.

And now you are done with a sexy mess bun!!

Smoky Eyes

Materials Required:
